Nancy Carol Withiem

Nancy Carol Withiem, 66 of Robinson, IL died at her home at 7:51 p.m. Saturday, August 22, 2009. She was born December 6, 1942 in Pinkstaff, IL, the daughter of Herbert H. Maglone and Bertha Bearley Maglone. She worked for 18 years as a housekeeper at Crawford Memorial Hospital in Robinson. She also worked for a time at L. S. Heath & Sons and the Eitelbrick Shoe Factory in Robinson. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Oblong. She loved to crochet, garden, paint, and work with flowers. She also actively supported the Carmi Children’s Home.Nancy gracefully endured severe health issues over the last seven years before she peacefully went home to Jesus our Savior. She will be immensely missed and lovingly remembered. She was an incredibly loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Some of her greatest joys came from giving handmade crocheted items to her friends near and far. When you touch one of these gifts, it is evident it was made with love.Nancy married Robert Withiem on November 8, 1963 and he survives. She is also survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Brad and Ruth Ann Withiem, Effingham; her daughter and son-in-law, Rita Lynn and Trent Wallace, Marshall; 3 grandchildren, Chris Withiem, Lauren Withiem and Taylor Wallace; and her brother Kenneth Maglone, Robinson and her sister, Sandra Pinkston, also of Robinson. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Jack Maglone; 5 sisters, Juanita Montgomery, Louise Thrall, Shirley Cooper, Delores Black, and Donna Dunlap. Funeral services will be held at 9:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 25th at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday August 24th at the funeral home. Pastor Rusty Morecraft is officiating. Burial will be in the Hutsonville Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Carmi Children’s Home with envelopes at the funeral home.
