Nadine Weaver, 88, of Cadiz, KY, formerly of Robinson, IL, passed away on Tuesday, January 9, 2024, at Jennie Stuart Medical Center in Hopkinsville, KY. Born on August 12, 1935, in Robinson, Nadine will be warmly remembered as a beacon of kindness and generosity. Her unwavering faith was evident in her dedication to the Cadiz Baptist Church, where she joyfully played the piano and lifted her voice in praise-filled songs, sharing her love for Jesus through cherished old hymns like "The Old Rugged Cross" and "Mansion Over the Hilltop." She also brought light and joy to residents at the local nursing home through her wonderful music.
As a homemaker, Nadine lovingly raised her family, and she was the faithful wife of the late Clyde Lee Weaver, to whom she was married for 70 years. Together, they nurtured a beautiful family, and her legacy will live on through her sons & daughters-in-law, Cliff Alan Weaver (Robbin) of Evansville, IN, and Craig Andrew Weaver (Tracey) of Cadiz, KY. She also leaves behind her dear sister, Sarah Kay Williams of Robinson, IL, and caring sisters-in-law Naomi Mikeworth and Eileen Mikeworth, also of Robinson, IL. Her life was enriched by the joy and companionship of a number of nieces, nephews, and cousins who will carry forward her memory with affection.
While Nadine was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Linda Lee Weaver, her brothers, Robert, Luther Leon, and Richard Mikeworth, and her parents, Luther Mikeworth and Mary Leo Rodgers Mikeworth McClure, the strength and love she garnered from them shaped her into the remarkable woman we came to admire. Her love for her special-needs daughter, Linda, led to her involvement with the Trigg County Association for the Handicapped, and she was also an active member of the National Active and Retired Federal Employees Association (NARFE).
With a bright and friendly demeanor, she loved visiting with people, epitomizing the true essence of hospitality. Nadine's heart extended beyond her human connections to the natural world around her. She found solace in the beauty of hummingbirds, the companionship of her beloved cats and dogs, and the tranquility of the countryside. After all, she and Clyde spent many years on their farm, where they raised cattle and embraced the fullness of God's creation.
Nadine Weaver was a woman of many facets: a faithful Christian, a dutiful homemaker, a skilled pianist, and a friend to all. Her life was a symphony of loving acts, friendly encounters, and generous deeds. Her affection for others and her ceaseless desire to uplift those around her were an inspiration. She leaves us with cherished memories, lessons of kindness, and a blueprint for a life well-lived. Though we can no longer see her, we know she isn't truly gone, just gone from our sight. By the grace of God, we will see her again in that place where death is a memory and tears are no more.
