Matthew "Red" Heleine

Matthew “Red” Heleine, 26 of West Union, IL, died Friday, August 28, 2009 as a result of an auto accident in Sullivan, IN. He was born September 17, 1982 in Terre Haute, IN, the son of Virgil and Julie Hickenbotham Heleine. He was an iron worker through Local #22 in Terre Haute. He was in his fourth year at Ivy Tech in Terre Haute and he was a member of the West Union First Baptist Church.He married Casandra Hartbank on January 28, 2005 and she survives. He is also survived by his two children, Lainey Jane Heleine and his son Chase Matthew Heleine, both at home. He is also survived by his parents; his two sisters and brother-in-law, Keyla and Randy Hargis, West Union; and, Elizabeth Heleine, West Union; his brother-in-law, Rob Salee, Hutsonville, His mother-in-law, Cindy McKimmy, Robinson; his father-in-law, Robert Hartbank, Robinson; 2 sisters-in-law, Brenda and her husband Anthony Langley, Robinson, and Andrea McKimmy, Robinson; his grandparents, several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.Funeral services will be Wednesday, September 2nd at 11:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in West Union with Brother Don Russell in charge of services. Burial will be in the Old York Cemetery. Matthew’s wishes would be for everyone to dress casual in their blue jeans. Visitation will be at the Prust-Hosch Funeral Home in West Union from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 1st. Memorials may be made to a special fund for his children and left at the funeral home or mailed to the family at 5377 N. 2000th St., West Union, IL 62477.
