Mary Ruth Waldrop, 92, of Robinson, Il, died at 4:59 p.m. (E.S.T.) Wednesday, January 12, 2011 at the Good Samaritan Hospital, Vincennes, IN. She was born July 15, 1918 in Palestine, the daughter of Charles Gaddis and Emma Lilly Bachelor Gaddis. She was a homemaker, a longtime member of the Hardinville Christian Church and a recent member of the Robinson Highland Church of Christ.Ruth married Noble A. Waldrop on March 27, 1937 and he preceded her in death on March 10, 1990. She was also preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Beverly Waldrop; her 2 sons, Charles and Jim Waldrop; her grandson, Rod Waldrop; her brothers and sisters, Leona Biggs, Frank Biggs, Horace Gaddis, Harry Gaddis, Florence Reinbold, and Ruby Gaddis. She is survived by her 2 daughters and sons-in-law, Sharon and Gerald Bricker, Hardinville, Judy and Steve Young, Porterville; 3 sons and daughters-in-law, Larry W. and Toni Waldrop, Robinson, Jerry L. Waldrop, Robinson, Ronald E. and Julia Waldrop, Robinson; 23 grandchildren; 39 great grandchildren; and her sister, Betty Manley, Clarksville, GA.Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 16, 2011 at the Goodwine Funeral Home, Robinson with Pastor Shane Bopp officiating. Burial will be in the Robinson New Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Saturday, January 15th at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Highland Church of Christ Building Fund with envelopes available at the funeral home.
