Mary Louise Goodwin

Mary Louise Goodwin, 88, of rural Heathsville, IL, died at 10:40 a.m. Friday, February 26, 2010 at the Select Specialty Hospital, Evansville, IN. She was born April 1, 1921 in Palestine, IL, the daughter of Eugene Charles Fitzpatrick and Mabel Irene Leach Fitzpatrick. She was a teacher in the Crawford County and Lawrence County Schools and was a member of the Russellville Community Church and the Crawford County Farm Bureau.Mary married Clinton Andrew €œAndy€ Goodwin on June 11, 1948 and he preceded her in death February 14, 2003. She was also preceded in death by her parents; and 2 brothers, Robert Eugene Fitzpatrick and John William Fitzpatrick.She is survived by her 2 daughters and sons-in-law, Sarah and Edward Carpenter, Flat Rock, Martha and John Edgington, Mansfield, IL; her son, Steve Goodwin, rural Flat Rock; 9 grandchildren; 2 step grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.Private family graveside services will be held on Wednesday, March 3rd at the Pleasant View Cemetery, rural Palestine with Rev. Aryn Meritt officiating. The Goodwine Funeral Home, Palestine is in charge of services.
