Mary Kathryn (Dennis) Douglas

Mary Kathryn (Dennis) Douglas, age 89, of Robinson passed away in the comfort of her home, with her family, on Friday, February 2nd, 2024. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, K.W. Douglas, and son, Randall Tracy. She is survived by her siblings, Carol Sue (Earl) Redmond and Clifford (Mickey) Dennis, her daughter, Kathy (Mike) Bush, her daughter-in-law Kathy Tracy, her grandchildren: Dustin (Jennie) Bush, Brandon (Vanessa) Bush, Craig Tracy, Jason Tracy, and Karen (Don) York, as well as 11 great grandchildren.

Mary was born on July 23rd, 1934, was a graduate of Oblong High School, and spent her entire life serving others. She began her career journey working at IGA, then JC Penney, and eventually retired to babysit children in her home for several years, before rejoining the workforce at County Market and finishing her career at Ruler Foods. The only thing stronger than her work ethic was her faith and her love for God. She regularly attended services at her home church, Otterbein Methodist Church, in Robinson, Illinois. Anyone who was blessed to be able to spend time with Mary knew that a hallmark of her character was her kindness and generosity towards others, and her relentless love of her family. One of her favorite things to do in her free time was to play a game of Dominoes with her loved ones.

In line with Mary's altruistic heart, she chose to donate her body to science, and no celebration of life is planned at this time.
