Mary Jo Quinn-White

Mary Jo Quinn-White, 88 of Robinson, IL, died at 11:05 p.m. Tuesday, June 21, 2011 at the Cotillion Ridge Nursing Home, Robinson. She was born June 26, 1922 in Robinson, IL, the daughter of Glen M. Klump and Sena P. Tennis Klump. She worked for the U. S. Census Bureau, Washington, DC. and for Birdwell Oil Co, Mt. Carmel, IL. She was a nurse at the Allen Sanitarium, for Dr. Sam Allen, and at the Schmidt Clinic for Dr. Gus Schmidt. She was a member of the First Christian Church Disciples of Christ, Robinson, past Worthy Matron of Order of the Eastern Star, Worthy High Priest of the White Shrine, past president and member of the Robinson American Legion Post #69 Auxiliary, past president of the BPW, and past president of the Women of the Moose.Mary married Patrick J. Quinn on August 31, 1942 and he preceded her in death on June 15, 2004. She was also preceded in death by her second husband, Norman White; her parents; her brother, Glen Klump, Jr; and her great grandson, Wyatt Cravens.She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Alex and Roberta Quinn, Robinson; her granddaughter, Mary Ann Gibson, Robinson; her great grandson, Logan Cravens, Robinson; her nephew, Glen Klump, Palestine; her niece, Robin Scott, Robinson; and her 2nd cousin, Phyllis Mullins, Robinson.Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, June 24th at the Newlin Cemetery, rural Robinson with Pastor Amy Wharton officiating. The Goodwine Funeral Home, Robinson is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to the Crawford County Humane Society with envelopes available at the funeral home or at the cemetery at the time of service.
