Mary E. Moulton

September 12, 1919 — August 21, 2020

Mary E. Moulton, 100, of Robinson, IL died Friday, August 21, 2020, at Cotillion Ridge in Robinson. She was born September 12, 1919, in Watson, IL, the daughter of William & Lydia (Croft) Morman, both of whom preceded her in death. She married William Warren Moulton on July 6, 1946, and he preceded her in death on August 21, 1978. She was also preceded in death by her siblings, many of whom passed in infancy: Orras Chester Morman and his stillborn twin brother, Margaret Earelin Morman, William Frederick Morman, John Leonard Morman, Mable Alleneda Morman, Evealine Marie Johnson, Emma May Morman, Ruby Bell Oldenburg, Aubrey Curtis Morman, and Ollie Ruth Sims; by 2 half-sisters, Minnie Burnett and Freda Brigger; by her son-in-law, Don Golden; and by her grandson, Jeff Golden. She is survived by her sons & her daughter-in-law, Howard Kirchhoff & Susan (Naperville, IL) and Charles "Chuck" & Anita Moulton (Robinson, IL); by her step-daughter, Pat Golden (Mackinaw, IL); by 14 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews. Mary grew up in the Watson area and lived in Effingham before moving to Robinson in July of 1959. Here, she found employment in the meat department at IGA and as a housekeeper at the L.S. Heath & Sons office before getting on with Victor Dana, where she would work for twenty years before retiring in 1986. Away from work, she could be found donating her time to Crawford Memorial Hospital or playing cards with her friends at the Senior Center. Card games brought her countless hours of good, clean fun. In fact, it could be said that Mary truly enjoyed her 100 years with us. Though she was a longtime and active member of Highland Avenue Baptist Church, her expressions of faith weren't confined to Sunday mornings. Her walk with Jesus was evident in the very way she lived her life, day-in and day-out. Mary Moulton's century on earth was marked by both joy and love, and for this, we are forever thankful. A time of visitation will be held from 12:00-1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 25th at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson. PLEASE NOTE THAT, DUE TO COVID-19 MANDATES PASSED BY THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, SOCIAL DISTANCING MEASURES WILL BE IN FORCE, AND IT WILL BE REQUIRED THAT ALL ATTENDEES WEAR FACE COVERINGS.
