Mary Carolyn King

Mary C. King, 87, of Robinson, IL, died Monday, January 15, 2024, at Robinson Rehab in Robinson, IL.

She was born in Crawford County on October 17, 1936, the daughter of Richard B. and Mary E. (Batman) Lamb.

She married Charles R. King of West Virginia on June 25, 1965, in Rockford, IL, and he survives. She was also survived by one son, Charles A. King (LaPorte, IN), one daughter & son-in-law, Tracy. L. & Richard Kostro (Valparaiso, IN); three grandsons, Korbin M. Hockman, Lutek M. Kostro, and Sebastian Z. King; one sister-in-law and three nieces.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Richard D. Lamb.

Mary lived most of her life in Winnebago and DeKalb Counties in Illinois and retired from Northern Illinois University after 22 years of service.

It was Mary's request to be cremated, and a memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 28th at Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson. Donations may be made in her name to the "American Heart Association", and envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
