Mary A. Crampton

Mary A. Crampton, 88, of Robinson, IL, died at 1:40 a.m. Monday, October 22, 2007 at Crawford Memorial Hospital, Robinson. She was born December 29, 1918 in Robinson, IL, the daughter of Isaac Abram Bennett and Lydia Eliza Hacking Bennett. She was a secretary at the WPA office. She attended the Robinson Free Methodist Church and was a member of the Marathon Ladies Club.She married Allen Dale Crampton July 9, 1939 and he preceded her in death on February 5, 1975. She was also preceded in death by her parents; her son, John Crampton, in December 2003, her son-in-law, Larry Dean Tuttle in March 2006; and her brother, James Bennett.She is survived by her children and their spouses, Judith Tuttle, Plainfield, IN, Gary D. and Cheryl Crampton, Robinson, Jane and Monte Johnson, Terre Haute, IN; her daughter-in-law, Sally Crampton, Findlay, OH; 6 grandchildren, Lisa Tuttle, Plainfield, IN, Gary Dale Crampton, Garden City, CA, Sabrina Crampton, Corona, CA, Amy Mendenhall, Robinson, John Christopher Crampton, Findlay, OH, Jason Allen Crampton, Orient, OH; and 13 great grandchildren.Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, October 25, 2007 at the Goodwine Funeral Home, Robinson with Pastor Burl Shinkle officiating. Burial will be in the Robinson New Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, October 24th at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Free Methodist Church, Robinson with envelopes available at the funeral home.
