Marsha Edgington

Marsha Edgington, 73, of Palestine, IL, passed away peacefully on July 27, 2022, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes, IN, surrounded by her loved ones.

Marsha was born on February 11, 1949, in Fayette County, WV, the daughter of Autis Blankenship & Wanda (Hightshoe) Crouch, both of whom preceded her in death. She married Harry Parker Edgington on January 7, 1977, and he preceded her in death on July 8, 2010. She was also preceded in death by her stepfather, Richard Crouch.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Christa & Steven "Cub" Inboden; by her grandsons, Maxwell Inboden and Marcus Inboden; by her granddaughter, Audrey Inboden; by her great-grandchildren, Brett VanSchoyck and Emmarie Frost; by her sisters, Nancy Klump and Cheryl Fowler; by her boyfriend, Woody Riggins; as well as several nieces and nephews who she loved like her own.

Marsha grew up in Indianapolis, IN, before moving to Hutsonville, IL, during her teenage years. She would attend beauty school in Olney, IL, and later taught at the Paris Beauty Academy. Marsha would eventually settle in Palestine, IL, and open Waves & Co. which she ran with her longtime friend, Bernie Hawkins for several years.

Marsha enjoyed being out and about, whether it be meeting up with friends at the Village Inn, afternoon drives to one of her favorite restaurants with her sister, aunt, and uncle, Friday lunches with the girls or golf cart rides. She also loved traveling to Florida; it became one of her favorite places to visit. Many trips were made to French Lick with her boyfriend, Woody.

If she wasn't spending time with her friends, she truly enjoyed spoiling her grandkids. They could be found shopping, going to the movies, or having many sleepovers.

Marsha's family was everything. She knew how to have a good time and left many memories that her family will forever cherish.

A time of visitation will be held from 10:00-12:00 pm on Wednesday, August 3rd at Goodwine Funeral Home in Palestine. Funeral services will immediately follow and will be held at 12:00 pm on Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Pleasant View Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to "Riley Children's Hospital", with envelopes available at the funeral home.
