Marjorie Raley, age 89, of Terre Haute, IN, formerly of Robinson, IL, passed away at 10:00 a.m. (EST) on Friday, August 2, 2019. She was born January 1, 1930, in rural Flat Rock, IL, the daughter of John Allen Irvin and Hazel (McClure) Irvin. She grew up on the family farm in the Palestine area before graduating from Robinson Township High School. A few years later, she started working for General Motors, where she would stay over the next 35 years of her life before retiring at the age of 60. Much of her 29 years of retirement found her traveling, having visited much of the continental United States and parts of Europe over the years. She also found great enjoyment watching sports and was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan. She followed horse racing and made it a point to attend the Kentucky Derby annually. Anyone who knew her could attest to her love of playing cards, and this provided Marjorie with countless hours of enjoyment. While she enjoyed all these things, what mattered most of all was who she enjoyed them with. Her family and friends could never forget the love she generously lavished on each of them, and this will forever stand as her legacy. Marjorie was an active member of the Terre Haute North Christian Church. We who also put our faith in Christ have assurance that today, she is experiencing paradise alongside her Savior and all those in the faith who have gone before her. Marjorie married Robert Darrell Titsworth in 1956, and he passed away in 1987. She would go on to marry Wayne Eugene Raley in 2002, and he passed away in 2009. She was also preceded in death by her parents; by her siblings, Max Eugene Irvin, Marilyn Ruth Tracy, Russell Allen Irvin, Hazel Delene Hurn, Kenneth Wayne Irvin, Harold Ray Irvin and Cecil Lee Irvin; and by a stepson, Jeffrey Raley. She is survived by her daughter, Kimberly Sue Titsworth Winter (Kevin); by her son, William Jeffrey Titsworth (Amelia); by one stepdaughter, Janis Cooprider (Randy); by her grandchildren, Robert Mark Winter, Eric Ross Winter (Stephanie), Kaylee Anne Titsworth and Kyle Andrew Titsworth; by her great-grandchildren, Olivia Rose Winter and Evan Michael Winter; as well as several step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Carolyn Sue Leggitt (Wally); by her sisters-in-law, Phyllis Irvin and Norma Irvin; as well as several loving nieces and nephews. A time of visitation will be held from 9:30-11:00 a.m. (Central Time) on Saturday, August 10th at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson. Funeral services will immediately follow and will be held at 11:00 a.m. (Central Time) on Saturday with Rev. Tom Akers officiating. Burial will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, her family requests that memorial contributions be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
