Marie Catt

Marie Catt, 82 of Robinson, IL, died at 8:45 a.m. Saturday, April 11, 2009 at Crawford Memorial Hospital in Robinson. She was born July 9, 1926 in Crawford County, IL, the daughter of Jacob McCormick and Mary Dunlap McCormick. She was a retired employee from L. S. Heath and Sons in the mail room; a member of the Highland Avenue Baptist Church; the Willow Hill Community Club. She worked with the Robinson Clothing Center and made Dolls for the Misson Field. She had just received the Robinson Chamber of Commerce “2009 Distinguished Citizen Award” for her work in restoration of those dolls.She married John Robert Catt on June 24, 1943 and he preceded her in death on July 22, 2001. She as also preceded in death by parents; her 5 brothers Forrest, Cecil, Ralph, Donald, and Virgil McCormick; 3 sisters, Hazel Watson, Nellie Estep, and Mildred Tipton.She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Phillip and Elaine Catt, Robinson; her granddaughter and her spouse, Julie and Evan Inboden, Robinson; 2 great grandsons, Keegan and Brendan, Robinson; her brothers and sisters-in-law, Howard and Marie McCormick, Portage, IN, Darrel and Donna McCormick, Crawfordsville, IN, and Linda McCormick, Robinson; her half sister Maxine Culp, Robinson; and several nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 14th at the Goodwine Funeral Home, Robinson, with Pastor Jerry McDaniel in charge. Burial will be in the Mound Cemetery, rural Jasper County. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday April 13th at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the New Hebron Christian School or to the Baptist Children Home in Carmi. Envelopes are available at the funeral Home.
