Marie Bashears

Marie Bashears, 95 of Robinson, died at Crawford Memorial Hospital in Robinson at 4:40 a.m. Tuesday, October 20, 2009. She was born September 20, 1914, in Martin Township, Crawford County, IL, the daughter of William Shedelbower and Elizabeth Brown Shedelbower. She worked for the Robinson Transformer for 21 years retiring in 1975. She was a member of the St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, a 50 year member of the Women of the Moose, and a member of the American Legion Post #69 Ladies Auxiliary.Lillian married Byron Lee Bashears on May 15, 1966 and he preceded her in death on March 2, 1973. She was also preceded in death by her parents, her brother, George Cecil Shedelbower; her sister-in-law, Louise Shedelbower; and her cousin, George Loving.Lillian is survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews.Funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, October 22, 2009 at the St. Elizabeth Catholic Church with Rev. William Overmann officiating. Burial will be in the Robinson New Cemetery. The Goodwine Funeral Home, Robinson is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
