Marguerite Amanda Copp

Marguerite Amanda Copp of Robinson, IL entered the gates of Heaven Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at Casey Health Care Center in Casey, IL. Marge was born April 15, 1930 in Lakeville, IN, the daughter of Walter and Madeline (DeSmet) Riege. She married Albert T. Copp on January 4, 1947 in Mishawaka, IN and preceded her in death on September 10, 1999. She is survived by her daughters & son-in-law, Linda Randazzo (Arlington Heights, IL) and Brenda & Larry Boyd (Robinson, IL); by her three grandchildren, David & Rebecca Boyd, Daniel & Angie Boyd and Julie & Joshua Radetski; by her four great grandchildren, Kyle & Brittany Boyd, Payton Boyd, Jared Boyd and Noah Radetski, by her two great-great granddaughters, Avery Boyd and Lillian Boyd; by her one great-great grandson, Ryker Boyd; and by her sister, Sharon Walters, (Fair Oaks, IN). Preceding her in death along with her husband were her parents, an infant son, Albert T. Copp Jr; her four sisters, Marie Amato, Dorothy Graham, Virginia Shireman, and Barbara Yaw; her four brothers, Leo, George, John, and Robert William Riege, and her son-in-law Robert Randazzo. Marguerite worked at the Town and Country hardware store located on North Jackson St. and later in the bakery department at Gallo’s Red & White grocery store until she retired in 1995. On Easter Sunday morning, April 3, 1983 Marguerite, as well as her husband, accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Lord and Savior and remained faithful to Him her remaining days. Marguerite will be remembered for her kindness and love she showed to others, for being a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother and for the wonderful sugar cookies she made and shared with friends and family, for her love of decorating, making crafts, and collecting snowmen and bird items. She will be miss by all who knew and loved her. She was happiest when she was helping others and spending time with her family and friends. A time of visitation will be held from 12:00 - 3:00 p.m. on Monday, January 21st at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson. Memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children Hospital, with envelopes available at the funeral home.
