Margie H. Johnson

Margie H. Johnson, 85 of Robinson, IL, died at 4:08 a.m., Wednesday, October 15, 2008 at Crawford Memorial Hospital in Robinson. She was born June 25, 1923 in Pine Ridge , KY , the daughter of Noah Creech and Elnora Creech. She was a homemaker and a member of the V. F. W. Post #4549 Ladies Auxiliary. She married Herbert E. Johnson on September 10, 1939 and he preceded her in death on June 27, 1956. She was also preceded in death by her parents; her son, Edward C. Johnson; her brother, Stanley Creech; and 2 sisters, Dorothy Ray Creech and Alma Ordiway.She is survived by five daughters and sons-in-law, Betty and Richard Simons, Foster, Rhode Island, Lovette and Pat Hillard, Robinson, Gail and Richard Hamilton, Springfield, Linda Tergerson, Lorena,Texas, Mary and J. D. Spindler, Robinson; her son, John Burgund and Lorie Garber, Chillicothe, IL. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren; her 2 sisters and brother-in-law, Anna Fay and Ralph Johnson and Betty Cesna, all of Michigan; 2 brothers and sister-in-law, Charles Creech, Florida and Paul and Barbara Creech, South Bend, IN.Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, October 19th at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson with Rev. Elaine Lewis in charge. Burial will be in the St. Mary’s Cemetery, rural St. Marie. Visitation is from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Saturday, October 18th at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Robinson V. F. W. Post #4549 Ladies Auxiliary or to the Robinson Food Pantry.
