Marge Fancil, 92, of Robinson, IL, died Sunday, September 1, 2019, in the comfort of her home. She was born on April 5, 1927, in Frankfort, Germany, the daughter of Victor Pucher & Margarete Pucher, both of whom preceded her in death. She married Raymond Fancil on December 1, 1954, and he preceded her in death on April 22, 2006. She was also preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters. She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews; by her special friend, Martha Dennis; as well as a host of other friends, caregivers, and neighbors. Marge grew up in Germany, where she would eventually meet Raymond, who was stationed there at the time. Over the course of his career in the military, they saw the world before he retired and they moved to the States, namely Massachusetts and Indiana. They finally settled in Robinson, where they made a home for many years. Marge was, by all accounts, an animal lover, as evidenced not only by the animals she lovingly cared for at home, but also by those she tended to at the Crawford County Humane Society for several years. When she wasn't busy cleaning houses, she also volunteered at the Clothing Center Workshop for a time. Simply stated, once you met Marge Fancil, you wouldn't ever forget her! This one-of-a-kind soul was feisty, but tender-hearted, and her legacy of care will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her. A graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, September 6th at the Hardinville Cemetery, with Pastor Avery Higginbotham officiating. The Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson is in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the "Crawford County Spay & Neuter Foundation" or to the "Ark of the Covenant Soup Kitchen", with envelopes available at the funeral home and cemetery.
