She was born December 29, 1923, the daughter of Otis & Minnie (Hawkins) Purcell, both of whom preceded her in death. She married Milford Earl "Shorty" Sheese on August 21, 1943, and he preceded her in death on March 11, 2005. She was also preceded in death by four sisters, Marie (Walter) Leggit, Faye (Glen) Ferguson, Maxine (Sylvan "Sally") Kirk, and Betty Moore; by four brothers, Bill Purcell, Bob (Eva) Purcell, Jack (Nelda) Purcell, and Paul (Shirley) Purcell; by her daughter, Kaye (Fred) Shrider; and by her great-granddaughters, Asa Adeline Wright and Shrider (in infancy). She is survived by her daughters, Jan (Chuck) Acrey and Lindy Tucker; by her son, David (Dori) Sheese; by her grandchildren, Darren (Angela) Acrey, Rick (Shannon) Acrey, Leslie Acrey, Scott (Stephanie) Shrider, Beth Shrider, Mandi (James) Smith, Sherah (Rob) Vernon, Keliy (Alex) Andrews, Jami Wright, Kristi (Joe) Ferguson, Jessica (Paul) Brashear, and Michael (Jennifer) Sheese; by her great-grandchildren, Hannah and Charlie Acrey, Audrey and Vivian Acrey, Brooklyn Morrow, Taylor O'Banion, Kyle Shrider, Kara Shrider, Brody (Amanda) Grishaber, Zayne Grishaber, Tuker Davidson, Ellyssa Smith, Kaelle Vernon, Seth Andrews, Calvin Andrews, Radley Wright, Marci Wright, Leanna (Casey Cook) Ferguson, Katrina Ferguson, Cadance Brashear, Eva Brashear, Liam Brashear, and Thorin Sheese; by her great-great-grandchildren, Eloise Marshall, Amelia O'Banion, Malachi O'Banion, Kinslee Grishaber, and Lincoln Grishaber; by her sister-in-law, Shirley (Paul) Purcell; by her best friend and coffee buddy, Vera (Don) Whisman; as well as numerous beloved nieces and nephews. Margaret grew up in the Palestine area, where she attended school. From an early age, she displayed a propensity for basketball that she later exhibited while playing pickup games of twenty-one, often putting the neighborhood kids to shame! Though she could be ruthless with a basketball in her hands, anyone blessed to know Margaret could attest to her kind, generous nature. Her heartfelt generosity often manifested itself through her delightful cooking. She would heap helping after helping onto the plates of her loved ones, who will never forget her delectable cheesecake, pies, cookies, and delicious home-cooked meals. In other words, it was through "filling up" her family that she herself found fulfillment. When she was able, she also loved to crochet little animals for her grandchildren and was also known to busy herself with macrame and other various crafts. She also found great enjoyment in watching her soap operas, especially "The Young and the Restless" and "The Bold and the Beautiful". (In fact, she could be...overly engaged...with the storyline and its characters.) But what was Margaret Sheese, if not emotionally invested in others? It was clear that this dear, sweet woman loved her family whole-heartedly, generously, and faithfully. Nothing brought more joy and brightened her life like a visit from her family (especially the young ones.) She always had their back and was truly the wind beneath their wings! A time of visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. on Friday, August 27th at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson. Funeral services will immediately follow and will be held at 12:00 p.m. with Celebrant Curt Goodwine officiating. During the service, family and friends will have the opportunity to share thoughts and memories of Margaret's life. A live stream of her service will be available on Goodwine Funeral Homes' Facebook page or by going to https://www.goodwinefuneralhomes.com/live-stream/live-stream .
