Margaret Louise Hunter, 53, of Sumner, IL, died November 25, 2020, at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh, IN. She was born on June 6, 1967, in Waukegan, IL, the daughter of Pierre & Shirley (King) Pickell, both of whom preceded her in death. She is survived by her daughters, Megan & Michal Martinez (Robinson, IL), Dagmar Hunter & fiancé Travis Bowman (Lawrenceville, IL), and Cheyenne Hunter (Robinson, IL); by her grandchildren, Jordan McGill, Jayleigh Martinez, Jaxsyn Baxley, and Liliauna Hunter (expected in December); by her brother, Kenny & Salome Pickell (Philippines); as well as two nieces, Juliana and Evie Pickell. Margaret grew up in Zion, IL and was a graduate of Zion-Benton Township High School. She was, by all accounts, a goofy, sweet spirit whose heart beat for others, especially her beloved fur-babies. Though she enjoyed spending time on the road, few things brought her more joy than being around those she cared deeply about. It was apparent that her grandchildren in particular brought life to her living. We who are left behind recognize that life could never be the same after the loss of this treasured soul, but are thankful that her love lives on in our hearts. There will be no public service at this time. The Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson is in charge of arrangements.
