Margaret J. Sackrider, 82 of rural Robinson, died at 5:53 p.m. Sunday, October 11, 2009 at Crawford Memorial Hospital in Robinson. She was born July 17, 1927 in Robinson, Il the daughter of Stephen Calvin Daron and Anna Mae (King) Daron. Margaret graduated from Robinson High School. She traveled with her husband as he served in the U. S. Army for over 20 years. Upon Arden’s retirement from the Army, they settled in the Washington D. C. area where they both worked for the federal government. She was department manager for the U. S. Government National Security Agency. They returned to Robinson in 1974. She was a member of the Quail Creek Country Club, BPO Elks Lodge #1188, First United Methodist Church, and various Bridge groups.Margaret married her high school sweetheart, Harold Arden Sackrider on November 2, 1948 and he preceded her in death on November 18, 2008. She was also preceded in death by her parents; her siblings, William Daron, Mary English, Forest Daron, Chester Daron, Mildred Kelly, Paul Daron, Maxine Anglin, Eleanor Daron, Annabelle Meierhoff, and Edna Daron.She is survived by her brother-in-law, Donald Sackrider, Key Biscayne, FL; 2 nephews, Stephen Daron, Carterville and Jack Daron, Brownsburg, IN; 4 nieces, Darlene Belshaw, Bellingham, WA, Patricia Mullane and Kim Anglin, Gilbert, AZ, Lynda Smith, Kokomo, IN, and Rebecca McNary, Robinson.Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 14, 2009 at the Goodwine Funeral Home, Robinson with Rev. Max Borah officiating. Burial will be in the Robinson New Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 1:00 to 2:00 Wednesday preceding the services at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Elks Crippled Children Fund.
