Lucille C. Chamblin

Lucille C. Chamblin, 90, of Sellersburg, IN, formerly of Robinson, IL, died at 10:55 p.m. Monday, April 6, 2009 at Clark Memorial Hospital, New Albany, IN. She was born December 30, 1918 in Robinson, IL, the daughter of T. Earl Ducommon and Minnie Mae Meese. She was the manager of a retail dress shop in Mt. Pleasant for over 30 years. She married Harold Chamblin in 1935 and he preceded her in death on August 26, 1997. She was also preceded in death by her parents; and 2 sisters, Maxine Mikeworth and Dorothy Kinney.She is survived by her nephew and his wife, Gib and Sue Kinney, Sellersburg, IN; 2 nieces and their husbands, Janez and John Tracy, Robinson, Sue and Rex Fox, Nashville, TN; and her half sister, Ethel Lee Znigg of MI.Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, April 10th at the Goodwine Funeral Home, Robinson with Pastor David Ducommon officiating. Burial will be in the Robinson New Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, April 9th at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or to the Alzheimer’s Association with envelopes available at the funeral home.
