Louis Dell Springer

Louis “Louie” Dell Springer, 96, of Robinson, IL, died at 5:56 p.m. Monday, January 11, 2010 at the Crawford Memorial Hospital, Robinson. He was born May 26, 1913 in Robinson, IL, the son of Dell Elbert Springer and Mary Margaret Larson Springer. He graduated from Robinson High School in 1932. He was a self-employed radio and television repairman for 60 years. He was baptized November 23, 1930 at the First Christian Church, Robinson. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Robinson, a past member of the Elks Lodge #1188, Robinson, a past president of the Eagles Lodge, Lawrenceville, and a life member of the Moose #1369.Louie married Bernice Miller November 26, 1936 and she survives. He is also survived by his son, Ron Springer, Robinson; and several nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his son, Randall Eugene Springer in 2006; his sister, Mary Bogard; and several half brothers and half sisters.Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 16, 2010 at the Bradbury Cemetery, rural Crawford County, IL with Rev. Tom Akers officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday, January 15th at the Goodwine Funeral Home, Robinson, IL.
