Lois L. Tingley

Lois L. Tingley, 91, of West York, IL, passed away on Monday, September 26, 2022, at Crawford Memorial Hospital in Robinson, IL. She was born April 24, 1931, in West York, the daughter of Ralph & Ola (Hicks) Hagar, both of whom preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her son, Robert E. "Bob" Tingley.

She is survived by her son & daughter-in-law, Rick & Wanda Tingley (West York, IL); by her grandsons & their wives, Thane A. & Valerie Tingley (Robinson, IL), Damien C. & Jamey Tingley (Palestine, IL), and Christopher A. Tingley (West York, IL); and by her great-grandchildren, Thane Tingley, Jr., Lucas Tingley, Carmen Tingley, Caitlyn Tingley, and Brylee Tingley.

Though she cleaned houses and worked for L.S. Heath & Sons for a time, much of her career found Lois at TRW in Marshall, where she was a staple for over 30 years. Time at home often found her outside, be that on her riding mower, meticulously cutting her grass, or tending to her beautiful rose bushes, which, by all accounts, were her pride and joy. Lois was just as particular about the inside of her home, where she was known to read the latest edition of Reader's Digest and work on jigsaw puzzles. Her 91 years were a testament to the value of the simple things of life, as well as the precious gift of love. The love she so selflessly gave will live on in our hearts until, by the grace of God, we meet again!

A time of visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. on Monday, October 3rd, at the Prust-Hosch Funeral Home in West Union, IL. Funeral services will immediately follow and be held at 12:00 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home with Celebrant Curt Goodwine officiating. During the service, friends and family will have the opportunity to share memories of this dear woman's life. Burial will be in the Bradbury Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to "Bradbury Cemetery", with envelopes available at the funeral home.
