Lois Eileen Depoister

Lois Eileen Depoister, 72 of Effingham, formerly of Crawford County, IL, died at 3:50 p.m. Wednesday, September 30, 2009 at the Evergreen Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Effingham. She was born February 17, 1937 in Dieterich, IL, the daughter of Harvey Fitts and Mabel Shidler Fitts. She worked for 21 years at the Illinois Glove Factory in Effingham. Lois is survived by her two sons and daughter-in-law, Ron and Sharen Depoister, Mt. Home, AR and Bill Depoister, La Porte, IN; 7 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; 3 sisters, Naomi Taylor, Palestine, Trudy Goeckner, Effingham, and Mary Stortzum, Effingham; and several nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents; 2 sons, Russell and Wayne Depoister; her sister, Vonda Chapman; and her brother, Ardey Fitts.There will be a graveside service Sunday, October 4th at 2:00 p.m. at the Palestine Cemetery. David Depoister and Naomi Taylor are in charge of services. The Goodwine Funeral Home in Palestine is in charge of arrangements.
