Lloyd J. Scott, 70, of rural Oblong, IL, died at 9:30 a.m., Tuesday, July 29, 2008 at his son’s residence. He was born September 2, 1937 in Robinson, IL, the son of Roscoe Scott and Della M. Doyle Scott. He was a laborer with Labor Local #207. He served in the U. S. Army in Germany.He was preceded in death by his parents; and 2 brothers, Lawrence and James 'Buck' Scott.He is survived by 3 sons and daughters-in-law, Bruce and Shanna Scott, rural Oblong, Roscoe and Kami Scott, Robinson; Rusty and Christina Scott, Robinson; 6 grandchildren; his ex-wife, Alice May, Oblong; 1 sister and brother-in-law Susie and James Hayes, Robinson; and 1 brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Anna Scott, Oblong.Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, August 1, 2008 at Prairie Cemetery, rural Oblong, IL with Pastor Otis Bailey officiating.
