Linda S. Miller

November 12, 1949 — November 27, 2019

Linda S. Miller, 70, of Robinson, IL, died at 4:45 a.m. on Wednesday, November 27, 2019, in the comfort of her home. She was born on November 12, 1949, in Vincennes, IN, the daughter of Everett Layman & Mary Layman, both of whom preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Amy Tague; and by her sister, Jo Gilbert. She is survived by her son, Andy Miller; by her grandchildren, Amanda Tague, Dustin Tague, Riley Miller, and Layton Miller; by her sisters, Beth Layman, Jan Fox, and Martie Clements; by her brother, Phil Layman; as well as several nieces and nephews. Linda grew up in both Lawrenceville and Robinson areas and was a graduate of Robinson High School. She eventually worked her way up at H&R Block, eventually becoming the owner/operator of both Marshall and Robinson locations. After over 20 years of service, she finally retired in 2013. Much of her free time found her at home, be that binge-watching home renovation shows or enjoying a movie now and again, ("The Wizard of Oz" being among her very favorites). Forever young at heart, she also enjoyed video games and was known to play both puzzle games on her computer and "The Legend of Zelda" or "Mario Cart" on her Nintendo Switch. More than anything, however, Linda simply loved spending time with her family. She poured herself into being the best mother she could be and cherished every opportunity to love on her grandchildren as well. They will remember Linda as a fun, once-in-a-lifetime soul who gave them everything she had, without thought of self. She will never and could never be forgotten. It was Linda's wish to be cremated without a public service. The Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson is in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to "Riley Children's Hospital" or to "St. Jude Children's Research Hospital", with envelopes available at the funeral home.
