Linda Rich

Linda Rich, 72, of Robinson, IL, died on June 22, 2022, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes, IN. She was born August 21, 1949, in Palestine, IL, the daughter of Clarence & Ethel (Crum) Seaney, both of whom preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Harold Seaney.

She is survived by her daughter, Vanessa Phillips; by her grandchildren, Ashton & Jonathon Hedrick and Vincent & Jodie Myers; by her great-grandchildren, Devin, Bryar, and Tate; by her brother & sister-in-law, John & Rozella Seaney; by her sister & brother-in-law, Cheryl & John Bruner; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Linda grew up in Palestine and was a graduate of Palestine High School. Though she worked for Fair-Rite for a time, most of her career was spent at Wal-Mart, where she was a staple for over 25 years before retiring.

Much of her free time was spent traveling. She fed her innate sense of wanderlust by traveling to numerous tropical destinations all over the world, including Hawaii, Cancun, Jamaica, the Dominican Republic, and the Bahamas. Back home, she found joy in the little things like reading or working on a sudoku puzzle. She was also an avid gardener and did everything she could to ensure her plants would thrive. This caring concern spilled over into the love she gave to her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who will remember this loyal soul as being selflessly committed to her loved ones.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, June 27th, at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson, with Rev. Tom Akers officiating. Burial will be in the Robinson New Cemetery.
