Linda Myers

Linda Myers, 64, of Flat Rock, IL, died on July 1, 2020, at St John's Hospital in Springfield, IL. She was born on October 30, 1955, in Eaton, IL to Dean & Catherine L. (Lowe) Myers, both of whom survive. She is also survived by her brothers, Gary Matheney and Don Matheney; by her sister, Verna & James Patterson; by several nieces, nephews, and cousins, including her special cousin, Dorothy Shields; and by her caretaker, Debbie Wiseman. She was preceded in death by her brother, Danny Joe Myers; and by her sister, Patricia Monroe Conrad. Linda brought light and joy into the lives of all those she came across. Her happy-go-lucky nature was contagious, and the delight she found in the little things was a constant reminder that life is what you make it. Few things brought her more joy than simply playing with her baby dolls, though working a picture puzzle was right up there! She also enjoyed children, and they, in turn, loved spending time with her. She was, by all accounts, a lover of music, and was especially fond of the "Wabash Cannonball". If it started playing, everything else came to a stop! Though life as we knew it feels like it has come to a stop, her love continues to live on in our hearts and in our minds. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 10th at the Oblong Cemetery. The Goodwine Funeral Home in Flat Rock is in charge of arrangements.
