Leslie D. €œLes€ Plew, Jr., 61, of Hutsonville, IL, died at 12:14 p.m. Sunday, July 11, 2010 at the Union Hospital, Terre Haute, IN. He was born August 20, 1948 Decatur, IL the son of Leslie Durwood Plew and Nina York Plew. He served in the U. S. Navy and was stationed in the South China Sea and Vietnam during the Vietnam Conflict. He worked in supplies and shipping at the Crane Naval Weapon Center. He took 2 years of drafting at LTC and was a former volunteer of the Hutsonville Fire Department. Les was an avid Nascar and modified racers fan, and he also built race cars.He married Judy Lewis on September 22, 1973, and she survives. He is also survived by his son, Jeremie; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Bill and Denise Plew, Hutsonville and Donnie and Jackie Plew, Hutsonville; one sister and brother-in-law, Joetta and David York, Hutsonville; his mother, Nina Plew, Hutsonville; his mother-in-law Emma Lewis, Hutsonville, three brothers-in-law and a sister-in-law, Rick and Mary Lewis, Hutsonville and John and David Lewis, Hutsonville; a sister-in-law and her husband, Mary and Joe Rose, rural Robinson.He was preceded in death by his father.Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 14th, at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Palestine, with Brother Joe Griffith officiating. Burial will be in the Hutsonville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. until service time at 2:00 p.m. Memorials may be made to the Hutsonville Fire Dept. or to the donor€™s choice.
