LeRoy Tilford Stewart, 85, of Robinson, IL, died at 9:37 pm. Sunday, March 28, 2010 at Cotillion Ridge Nursing Center. He was born August 4, 1924 in Robinson, IL, the son of James Oscar Stewart and Nancy Strain Stewart. He was an electrician and worked in maintenance at Marathon retiring in 1984 after 37 years of service. He served in the U. S. Army during WWII as a paratrooper and was a member of the Otterbein United Methodist Church, Robinson Elks Lodge #1188, and the Oak Glen Golf Course.LeRoy married Janeil L. Wilkinson on July 28, 1950 and she survives. He is also survived by 3 daughters and sons-in-law, Jennalee and Jim Britton, Robinson, Penny & Brian Watts, Indianapolis, IN, and Debra and John Piland, Southlake, TX; 7 grandchildren, Mike Britton, Becky Collier, Amie Enright, Tara Pangburn, Alisha Survant, Jackie Piland, and David Piland; 9 great grandchildren; 2 sisters-in-law, Freda Stewart, Houston, MO, and Joan Stewart, Robinson; and several nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents; his stepmother, Belle (Barnett) Stewart; 4 sisters, Wylda Harper, Opal Varvel, Olive Wright, and Glen Rohr; and 3 brothers, Paul Stewart, J. O. Stewart, and William €œBill€ Stewart.Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 1st at the Goodwine Funeral Home, Robinson with Brother Maurice Midgley, O. S. L. officiating. Burial will be in the Robinson New Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 1st preceding the services. Memorials may be made to Crawford Memorial Home Health Agency or to the Otterbein United Methodist Church with envelopes available at the funeral home.
