Lee Silverthorne

Robert €œLee€ Silverthorne, Jr., 68 of Robinson, IL, died at 4:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 15, 2011 at the Crawford Memorial Hospital, Robinson, IL. He was born August 6, 1943 in Dallas, TX, the son of Robert Lee Silverthorne, Sr. and Annice Sides Silverthorne. Lee was a safety supervisory at Marathon for 19 years. He was a member of the Crawford County Christian Church, Robinson. He was an umpire and coach for several years in the area; refereed basketball, was active in the children€™s bus ministry and the healing room at 4Cs.He married Anne Ewart on January 28, 1964 and she survives. He is also survived 2 sons and daughters-in-law, Allen and Jenny Silverthorne, Boise, ID, Scott & Julie Silverthorne, Chauncey; his daughter and son-in-law, Tracy and Jason Waggoner, Robinson; 4 grandchildren, Cole and Cody Waggoner and Susie and Willie Silverthorne; his brother and sister-in-law, Ken and Genny Silverthorne, Katy, TX; his sister and brother-in-law, Marilyn and Bill Hilty, Boulder, CO; 1 brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Rob and Rhonda Ewart, North Bay, OR; and several nieces and nephews.A memorial service will be held at 5:00 p.m. Saturday, November 19, 2011 at the Goodwine Funeral Home, Robinson with Pastor Ray Piersall officiating. Visitation will be held from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. Saturday preceding the memorial service at the funeral home.Memorials may be made to the Oblong Children's Christian Home with envelopes available at the funeral home.
