Lavone M. Kimmel

Lavone M. Kimmel, 85 of Robinson, IL, died at 11:15 p.m. Sunday, March 8, 2009 at the Crawford Memorial Hospital Long Term Care. She was born February 25, 1924 in Lawrence County, IL, the daughter of George P. Parker and Bernice Pinkstaff Parker. She worked at L. S. Heath and Sons. She married Kenneth A. Kimmel April 10, 1944 and he preceded her in death on January 21, 1987. She was also preceded in death by her parents.She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth L. and Jane Kimmel, Robinson; her 2 daughters and her son-in-law, Elaine and Bill Tucker, Robinson and Diana Meadows, Palestine; 6 grandchildren; and her sister and brother-in-law, Lavene and Wilfred Maxwell, Flat Rock.Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 11, 2009 at the Goodwine Funeral Home, Robinson. Burial will be in the Robinson New Cemetery.Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.Tuesday, March 10, 2009 at the Goodwine Funeral Home, Robinson. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society with envelopes available at the funeral home.
