LAVERNE WRIGHT MURRAYLaverne Wright Murray, 83 of rural Robinson, IL, died at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, August 16, 2009 at her home. She was born March 15, 1926 in Wheeler, IL, the daughter of Bernard and Eva Jones. She was a bookkeeper and manager of Harrison Appliance Store and Tindall’s. She attended the West Side Church of God.Laverne married Freddie Wright Jr. on December 20, 1945 and he preceded her in death on July 17, 1990. She married Jr. Murray on January 15, 1993 and he preceded her in death on August 22, 2005. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Kenneth Jones; and 2 sisters, Yvonne York Butler and Fola Jones.Laverne is survived by 2 sons and daughters-in-law, Larry Gene and Sharon Wright, Hutsonville, Freddie Warren and Fayrene Wright, Robinson; 6 grandchildren, Lawrence Alexander Wright, Hutsonville, Shawn Ajel and Andy Martinez, Hutsonville, Sara Bethany and Jared Wayne Holmes, Hutsonville, Suzette Caryn Wright, Robinson, Jessica Fayrene Wright, Robinson, Freddie L. “Jake” Wright, Robinson; 4 great grandchildren, Connor Michal Holmes, Dawn Ajel Holmes, A. Benjamin Martinez, Maverick Blain Wright; 2 brothers and sisters-in-law, Maxie and Barbara Jones, Robinson; Nolan and Donna Jones, Homer, IL; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, August 20, 2009 at the Goodwine Funeral Home, Robinson with Pastor Charlie Rains officiating. Burial will be in the Robinson Old Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 19th at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Cerebral Palsy Foundation with envelopes available at the funeral home.
