Laquita Hasty

Laquita Swaner Hasty, 61, of Robinson died December 22, 2010 at 7:26 p.m. at her home. She was born November 8, 1949 in Palestine, IL, the daughter of Marion M. Swaner and Bertha Rose Adams Swaner. Laquita was the Administrative Assistant for the City of Robinson for 19 years. She was a member of the St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, American Legion Post #69 Auxiliary, and served on the MAPCAP Advisory Board.Laquita married Dennis K. Hasty on October 17, 1981 and he survives. She is also survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Jaymie D. and Lisa Turner, Crawfordsville, IN; her daughter and son-in-law, Kaylee Lynn and Kurtis Strohm, Hutsonville; 5 grandchildren, Georgia Rose Turner, Eden Elizabeth Turner, Audrey Belle Turner, and Justice James Turner, all of Crawfordsville, IN and Klaira Elizabeth Strohm, Hutsonville; her sister and brother-in-law, Linda and David Hargis, Robinson; her brother and sister-in-law, Ron and Linda Swaner, Brazil, IN; her brother-in-law and his wife, Lloyd and Sheri Hasty, Fairfield, IA; her sister-in-law and her husband, Lauree and Jim Belcher, Hillsboro, GA; and her brother-in-law, David Hasty and Elaine Harder, Oblong; and several nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be held at 10:00 Monday, December 27, 2010 at the St. Elizabeth Catholic Church with Father Aloysius Okey Ndeanaefo officiating. Burial will be in the Robinson New Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 3:00 - 7:00 p.m. Sunday, December 26th at the Goodwine Funeral Home, Robinson. Memorials may be made to the Robinson Spay and Neuter Fund or to the Robinson Food Pantry with envelopes available at the funeral home.
