Lance Leonard Applegate, Sr.

Lance Leonard Applegate Sr., 67, of Casey, IL, died March 17, 2020, at Eskenazi Health in Indianapolis, IN. He was born August 16, 1952, in Champaign, IL, the son of Leonard Applegate & Betty (Glidewell) Applegate, both of whom preceded him in death. He is survived by his daughter & son-in-law, Katrina & Aaron Fulling (Palestine, IL); by his son & daughter-in-law, Lance & Jasmine Applegate (Coos Bay, OR); by his grandchildren, Alex Fulling, Dannika Fulling, Luke Applegate, and Mina Applegate; by his sister, Linda Vincent; by his aunt, Claris & Everett Hitt; by his dear friends, Jack & Connie "Bunnie" Elliott; as well as several cousins and beloved nieces. Lance, by all accounts, enjoyed the simple things in life. An avid outdoorsman, he spent countless hours coon hunting and also enjoyed the peace and tranquility only fishing can provide a soul. He was a lover of all kinds of music and also busied himself watching his favorite TV shows. His friends and loved ones will long cherish memories of him telling stories of the "good ol' days", which is what we'll forever deem times spent with this one-of-a-kind soul. Lance will be cremated without public services. The Goodwine Funeral Home in Palestine is in charge of arrangements.
