Kristin O. Cook

Kristin O. Cook, 87, of Robinson, IL, passed away on June 11, 2024, in the peaceful comfort of her home. She was born on March 28, 1937, in Aurora, IL, the daughter of Edward O. & Winifred (Wellman) Holmstrom, both of whom preceded her in death. She married Jack Cook on October 21, 1955, and he survives. She is also survived by her son & daughter-in-law, Scott & Starla Cook; by her daughters, Candace Cook and Holly Cook-Graver & her wife, Ann; by her grandchildren, Ashley Cook and Mitch Cook-Graver; by her great-grandchildren, Matthew and Sydney Patenaude; by her sister & brother-in-law, Karen & Gary Lesch; as well as several nieces and nephews, including a special nephew & his wife, Bret & Pam Angel.

Kristin's professional life was as fulfilling as her personal one. Alongside Jack, she co-ran Colonial Appliance in northern Illinois for nearly four decades. As partners in all things, she and Jack visited Europe over 30 times and explored the vast cultures and histories of the world. Their travels took them to countless destinations, each adventure adding to the rich tapestry of their 68 years together. When not traversing the globe, Kristin could be found indulging in her love for sewing and knitting, creating beautiful pieces that have become treasured keepsakes for her loved ones.

Above all, her family was the center of her world. Kristin was a loving wife, a devoted mother, a doting grandmother, and as loyal a friend as one could hope to find. She enjoyed the relationships she forged at Pearl Chapel Church, where she worshipped alongside Jack and Candy. Her hope and trust in Jesus give us the blessed assurance that, by the grace of God, we'll see her again soon and very soon.

It was her wish to be cremated and her remains privately buried at the Pearl Chapel Cemetery. The Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson is in charge of these arrangements.
