Kerrie Lynn Hatfield, 31, of Robinson, IL, died September 7, 2021, the result of an automotive accident. She was born October 17, 1989, in Granite City, IL, the daughter of Dan & Marian (Hardiek) Hatfield. She grew up in Robinson and was a 2008 graduate of Robinson High School. She would go on to attend beauty school in Olney and would further her education at Lincoln Trail College, where she earned an associate degree in liberal arts. She was a sought-after hairdresser who worked her way up to management at Great Clips in Vincennes. She had a knack for sales and was consistently the top seller of beauty products for the store. Back in Robinson, she was a staple behind the bar at the Main Street Pub. It was a job she truly enjoyed, as it was a big part of her social life. Kerrie considered the regulars to be her friends and the Ericksons like family. Anyone fortunate enough to know her will remember a beautiful soul with a brilliant smile that reminded us all that life is what you make it. And Kerrie made hers her own. She was fiercely independent and lived by her own rules, but never at the expense of others. In fact, she had a gentle heart and would do anything she could to help anybody. Though it was evident that she loved others well, her daughters had her heart. By all accounts, Kyndal and Tinley were the absolute light of their mom's life. Though we grieve this untimely loss, we take comfort knowing that, in the end, it's not the years in our life that count; it's the life in our years. Kerrie Hatfield filled her 31 years with real and joyful living, and for that, we are abundantly thankful. She is survived by her parents, Dan & Marian Hatfield (Robinson, IL); by her cherished daughters, Kyndal Maxwell (age 9) and Tinley Maxwell (age 8); by her sister & brother-in-law, Krista & CJ Hasty (Robinson, IL) and their children, Braden and Jaxton; by her brother & sister-in-law, Josh & Erica Hatfield (Annapolis, IL) and their daughter, Ashlyn; as well as many extended family members. A time of visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 9th, at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, September 10th, at the St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Robinson, with Reverend Fr. Suresh Sambaturu officiating. Burial will be held in the Robinson New Cemetery. Memorials may be made to an education fund being started for her girls, with checks made payable to "Dan & Marian Hatfield". Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
