Kenneth "Kenny" Nidey

Kenneth "Kenny" Nidey, 62, of Robinson, Illinois, died on January 31, 2020 in the comfort of his home surrounded by his family. Kenny was born on January 6, 1958 in Oblong, IL the son of Randall & Dorothy (Kline) Nidey, both of whom preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Glenda Pool and Nephew, Josh Rodgers. He married Michele Pool Hinterscher on July 11, 2007 and she survives. He is also survived by his children, Sean Nidey (Gillete, WY), Matt Nidey (Springfield, IL); by his step-children, J. J. & Cassandra Murphy (Robinson, IL), Mandi & Andy Weger (Robinson, IL), Ashley & Bill Eck (Highland, IL); by his grandchildren, Drew Lindley, Kaesen Lindley, Billy Eck, Bryce Weger, Sophia Miller, and Cooper Miller; by his sister, Becky Nidey (Robinson, IL); by his brothers & sisters-in-law, Randy & Jill Nidey (Oblong, IL) and Gary & Kathy Nidey (Noblesville, IN); by his father-in-law, Stan & Marjorie Pool; by his brothers-in-law & sisters-in-law, Mike Pool (Olney, IL) Robin & Mike Pleasant (Arnold, MD), Regina Pool & Gayle Baker (Robinson, IL); as well as several nieces and nephews. Kenny was a 1976 graduate of Robinson High School he would then earn an associate degree from Lincoln Trail College. Throughout his school years he would enjoy playing football and baseball. Sports were a true enjoyment for his life. You could say he is a die-hard Green Bay Packers fan and Cardinals fan. Away from sports he enjoyed traveling, going fishing and golfing. He will be remembered for his mild manner, kind, helpful soul. A time of visitation will be held from 11:30-2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 4th at Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson. Funeral services will immediately be held at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Rick Kelsheimer officiating. Burial will be in the Oblong Cemetery.
