Kenneth Gene Ulrey

Kenneth Gene Ulrey, 70, of rural Robinson, was found on March 6, 2007 near his home, after he had been missing for 10 months. He was born January 12, 1937 in Casey, IL, the son of Otto and Bernice (Chapman) Ulrey. He attended the Word of Life Church, Sullivan, IN. He was an avid horseman and was a member of the Robinson Saddle Club. Kenneth graduated from Casey High School in 1955 and then enlisted in the US Army, serving in Germany.Kenneth married Lois Christine on July 15, 1961 and she survives. Also surving are his daughter, Sherry Funkhouser, Grayville, IL; his son and daughter-in-law, Kevin and Patti Ulrey, Henderson, NV; 4 grandchildren; his sister and brother-in-law, Loretta and Allen Boyd, Casey; 2 brothers and sisters-in-law, Ronnie and Betty Ulrey, Martinsville, Jerry and Marilyn Ulrey, Springfield, MO; several cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.Gravesideservices will be held at 3 p.m, Friday,June 8th, at thePrier/Shire Cemetery, rural Stoy, ILwith Brother Bob McCarter and Pastor Jeff Canfield officiating.Memorial contributions may be made to the Word of Life Church, 502 N.
