Ken L. Parmenter, Sr, 59, of Robinson, IL, died at 6:00 a.m. Sunday, October 23, 2011 at his residence. He was born May 19, 1952 in Moline, IL, the son of Elwin Parmenter and Lorain Kleber Parmenter. Ken served in the U. S. Coast Guard during the Vietnam War. He was a mechanic for Lincoln-Ford for 40 years and a certified Harley Mechanic in Peoria. He was a member of the NRA, Robinson American Legion Post #69, and the Sportsman Club, Marshall.Ken married Sharon Bolton and she survives. He is also survived by his 2 sons, Ken Parmenter, Jr, Oblong, and Chad Parmenter, Terre Haute, IN; his 2 daughters and his son-in-law, Shelli and Kevin Liddle, Robinson, and Zoe Parmenter, Robinson; his sister and brother-in-law, Barbara and Albert Boerckle, Morton; and his 2 grandchildren, Zachary and Zion Liddle.He was preceded in death by his parents.Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, October 28, 2011 at the First United Methodist Church, Robinson with Rev. Tiffany Black officiating. Burial will be in the Robinson New Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. Friday, October 28th at the church preceding the services.
