Kacie Jo "KJ" Hartbank, 35, of Terre Haute, IN, died September 22, 2020. She was born June 17, 1985, in Robinson, IL, the daughter of Richard & Cynthia Hartbank. She grew up in Annapolis, IL, where neighbors often found Kacie and her sister Ashley riding their bikes or rollerblading around the neighborhood. This period of her life provided her with countless memories that she would cling to throughout her 35 years, as did times spent alongside her friends attending school in Hutsonville, where she would eventually graduate in 2003. Anyone who knew Kacie could attest to her bustling creativity, which she expressed through crafting, drawing, and painting, among other mediums. She was also a lover of music, and it could be said that her taste knew no bounds! Though these things brought her joy, she found life in relationships. She was a dedicated advocate and protector for anyone blessed enough to know her. They will never, nor could they ever, forget this one-of-a-kind spitfire for as long as they live. Kacie's beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of her children, who survive: Deja Hedden and Dickie Lou Hedden III (both of West Terre Haute, IN). She is also survived by her parents, Richard & Cynthia Hartbank (Graysville, IN); her sister, Ashley & Jake Hoalt (Robinson, IL); her nephews, Kylar Hoalt and Kainen Hoalt; her grandparents, Virginia Goff (Hutsonville, IL), Robert & Deloris Hartbank (Robinson, IL), and Janice & Harley Swick (Flat Rock, IL); by her aunts & uncles, Cindy McKimmy (Robinson, IL), Bobby & Mildred Hartbank (Robinson, IL), Russell Hartbank (Robinson, IL), Joel & Teresa Goff (Robinson, IL), Greg Goff (Ste. Marie, IL), Ronnie Goff (Hutsonville, IL), Christopher & Melissa Swick (Bridgeport, IL); as well as several cousins and extended family members. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Joe Goff. A time of visitation will be held from 4:00-6:00 pm CST (5:00-7:00 EST) on Tuesday, September 29th at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson. PLEASE NOTE THAT DUE TO COVID-19 MANDATES PASSED BY THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, SOCIAL DISTANCING MEASURES WILL BE IN FORCE, AND IT WILL BE REQUIRED THAT ALL ATTENDEES WEAR FACE COVERINGS. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. CST (11:00 a.m. EST) on Wednesday, September 30th at the funeral home with Pastor J.D. Branson officiating. Burial will be in the Olive Branch Cemetery (rural Annapolis). Memorials may be made to Kacie's memorial fund, with checks made payable to "Goodwine Funeral Homes". Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
