Joseph Earl Miller

Joseph Earl Miller, 73, of Palestine, IL, died Saturday, April 3, 2010 at the VA Illiana Health Care System, Danville, IL. He was born May 11, 1936 in rural Martinsville, IL, the son of Everett €œRed€ Miller and Esther Ormiston Miller. He served over 22 years as SSgt in the U. S. Army, was a truck driver, and collected clocks. Joe married Lois Ann Corder Pinkston on August 5, 1989 and she survives. He is also survived by his daughter, Carmen Marie Nason; his son, Christopher Miller; 3 sisters, Maria Andleian, Camanols, WA, Carol Whitney, Wilcox, AZ, Martha Givens, Tuscon, AZ; his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, James and Opal Corder, Robinson; and his 2 sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Maxine Richey, Robinson, and Janet and Harry Redman, Palestine.He was preceded in death by his parents; and his sister, Ruby Katherine Cafin.Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, April 12, 2010 at the Goodwine Funeral Home, Palestine with Rev. Aryn Meritt officiating. Burial will be in the Palestine Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. Monday preceding the services. Memorials may be made to the Haiti Building Fund with envelopes available at the funeral home.
