John V. Wesner

John V. Wesner, 61 of Flat Rock, IL, died at 12:01 p.m Wednesday, February 14, 2007 at the home of his sister in Robinson, IL after an extended illness. He was born March 15, 1945 in Robinson, IL, the son of Henry V. Wesner and Madge M. Bondham Wesner. He had worked for Marathon Oil Co. for over 30 years on the Decoker Unit as Chief Operator. He was a former Village President of Flat Rock; a member of the Flat Rock Methodist Church; and a member of the Marathon Fire Department.He is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Dianna and Joe Murray, Robinson; 4 nephews and their spouses, Brad and Chanda Murray, Robinson, Jeff and Tammy Murray, Palestine, Duane Murray, Robinson, and Jason Murray, Greenwood, IN; several great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 17th at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Flat Rock. Rev. Rusty Morecraft is in charge of services. Burial is in the Jones Cemetery, rural Flat Rock. Visitation is from 5:00 p. m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday, February 16th. Memorials may be made to the Good Samaritan Hospice with envelopes at the funeral home.
