John "Jake" Wesley

John 'Jake' Wesley, 71, of rural Robinson, IL, died at 8:25 a.m. Monday, December 22, 2008 at Crawford Memorial Hospital, Robinson. He was born February 13, 1937 in Honey Creek Township, IL, the son of John Fred Wesley and Elsie Jo Rich Wesley. He was Custodian for Community Unit School District #2 for 40 years. He attended South Union Church.He married Tina Skidmore May 7, 1994 and she survives. He is also survived by his daughter, Denise Watts and her fianc, Bill McCleave, Oblong; 2 step daughters and their husbands, Kristina and Joe Ferguson, Robinson, Jessica and Paul Brashear, Flat Rock; his step son, Michael Sheese, Robinson; 5 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; his brother, Micheal Wesley, Flat Rock; his sister, Carol Ann Wesley, Sumner; and several nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, Steve Wesley.Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 27, 2008 at the Goodwine Funeral Home, Flat Rock, IL, with Brother Jack Cunningham officiating. Burial will be in the Tohill Cemetery, rural Flat Rock. Visitation will be from 4 – 7 p.m. Friday, December 26th at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or to the South Union Church with envelopes available at the funeral home.
