Joe M. McCrory, 96, of West Union, IL, died at 8:15 a.m. Monday, May 31, 2010 at Crawford Memorial Hospital Long-Term Care, Robinson. He was born April 1, 1914 in Melrose Township, Clark County, IL, the son of Bert McCrory and Amy Cruse McCrory. He was a retired farmer. He enjoyed woodworking.Joe married Vivian Louise Evans on October 5, 1935, and she preceded him in death on January 7, 2000. He was also preceded by his parents, his daughter, Louise Ingrum; 3 brothers, Ira, Roy, and an infant; 5 sisters, Fern Lockhart, Gladys Nash, Frances Shanks, Lola Belle Evans, and Opal McCrory.Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Delbert and Sharrell McCrory, Robinson; two daughters and sons-in-law, Arlene and Rex Bonesteel, West Union, and Judy and James Misner, West Union; 7 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; his son-in-law, Leroy Ingrum, West Union; 2 brothers and a sister-in-law, Lee McCrory, Robinson, and Ralph and Carolyn McCrory, Tuscola; 1 sister and brother-in-law, Mary Helen and Don Williams, Covington, OH; his special niece and her husband, Jean and Jim Rains, West York; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 3rd at the Prust-Hosch Funeral Home, West Union. Brother Randy Nave will be officiating. Burial will be at the Bailiff Cemetery, Melrose Township. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 2nd at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Bailiff Cemetery.
