Jerry Leon Lamb

Jerry Leon Lamb, 69 of Flat Rock, IL, died at his home at 12:08 a.m. Friday, May 15, 2009 after an extended illness. He was born December 17, 1939 in Flat Rock. He served in the United States Marine Corps from July 1958 to June 1964. He retired from Marathon Refinery in the Maintenance Department after over 25 years of service on January 1, 1995.He married Judy Hill on November 10, 1961 and she survives. He is also survived by his son Brian Lamb, Fort Branch, IN; two daughters and sons-in-law, Beth and Vance Dart, Oblong, Janet and Carl Meeks, Robinson; 4 grandchildren, Cody Pethtel, Megan Pethtel, Carlee Meeks, and Kylie Meeks; his great granddaughter, Colbi Dawn Pethtel; and several nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.He was preceded in death by his mother, Beulah Lamb and his son Mark Lamb.Funeral services are Monday, May 18th at 10:30 a.m. at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Flat Rock. Brother Bill McCluskey is in charge of services. Burial is in the Jones Cemetery, rural Flat Rock. Visitation is from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Sunday, May 17th at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Good Samaritan Hospice with envelopes available at the funeral home
