Jeffrey Lynn Clingenpeel, Sr.

Jeffrey Lynn Clingenpeel, Sr., 65, of Lawrenceville, IL, died at 8:25 a.m. on Tuesday, February 21, 2017 in the comfort of his home. He was born on Saturday, February 9, 1952 in San Antonio, TX, the son of Paul Edwin Clingenpeel & Bessie (Zeek) Clingenpeel, both of whom preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by three sisters, Deed, Jenny, and Tink; by two brothers-in-law, Mike Kissack and Jimmy Shoufler; by his nephew, Jimmy; and by his great-nephew, Jesse. He is survived by his children, Elaina Tolliver (Sumner, IL), Jeffrey, Jr. & Patty Clingenpeel (Marshall, IL), Troy Compton, and Jeffrey Eugene Clingenpeel; by his grandchildren, Isaac Tolliver, Evan Tolliver, Dallas Tolliver, Justin Zerrusen and Austin Zerrusen; by his great-grandson, Hunter Zerrusen; by his brothers & sisters-in-law, Pat & Debbie Clingenpeel (Hoopeston, IL), Bill & Micky Clingenpeel (Hoopeston, IL), and Phillip & Kathy Clingenpeel (Clarion, IA); by his sisters & brothers-in-law, Paula & Dennis Estes (Paxton, IL), Susie Lane (New Albany, IN), Elizabeth "Bo" Kissack (Milford, IL), and Clydette & Steve Krueger (Clarion, IA); by several nieces and nephews, and by his special friend, Joe. Bub was a 1970 graduate of Milford High School. He went on to become a truck driver, having made his passion for driving a career. Off the road, he loved spending time with his grandsons. He also enjoyed watching NASCAR races and talking on the phone. He will long be remembered for his gift of gab. A time of visitation will be held from 12:00-2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 25th at the Goodwine Funeral Home in Robinson. A service will follow and will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday with Celebrant Curt Goodwine officiating the service. Memorials may be made to the Jeffrey Clingenpeel, Sr. Memorial Fund, with checks made payable to “Goodwine Funeral Homes”. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
