Jeanette Odom, 84, of Stickney, IL, formerly of Marshall, IL, died at 8:13 a.m. Wednesday, April 22, 2009 at the home of her daughter. She was born June 12, 1924 in rural Mt. Carmel, IL, the daughter of Ira Fischer and Elsie Doty Fischer. She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ, Oliver, IL.She married Marion Odom May 15, 1948 and he preceded her in death June 22, 1993. She was also preceded in death by her parents; and 2 sisters, Freda Marks and Voncille Hering.She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Jetta and David Terry, Stickney, IL; her son, Doyle Odom, Marshall; her daughter-in-law, Dianna Odom, Peoria, IL; 5 grandchildren and their spouses, April Mayle and Jim Sullivan, Riverside, IL; Daniel and Wendy Terry, Lake in the Hills, IL; Jillion and Pete Eskra, Joliet, IL; Amanda and Chris Passmore, Peoria; Sayward Odom, Peoria; 13 great grandchildren; Michael Mayle, Mitchell Mayle, Alexandra Terry, Michael Sullivan, Spencer Passmore, Jalyn Eskra, Jack Terry, Graham Passmore, Peter Eskra, Samuel Terry, Griffin Odom, Lucas Eskra, Rowan Eva Passmore; 2 sisters and her brother-in-law, Jean and Don Gresson, Greenup, Patricia Fischer, Greenup; her brother and sister-in-law, Gerald and Donna Fischer, Bellmont; her brother-in-law, Howard Hering, Mt. Carmel, IL; and several nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, April 25th at the Prust-Hosch Funeral Home, West Union, IL. Ministers in charge are James Rue and Mike Gerber. Burial will be in the Harrison Cemetery, York Township, IL. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday, April 24th at the funeral home.
