Jean Ann Galek Raczkowski

JEAN ANN GALEK RACZKOWSKI, passed away quietly in her sleep the night of January 6, 2011, at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Peggy and Patrick Keen of Robinson, Illinois.Born in 1925 in Chicago, Illinois, Jean was the daughter of Sophia and George Galek and the sister of Valarie Galek Szymanski, all of whom proceeded her in death. Jean graduated from the University of Illinois with a Bachelor of Science and Master of Arts degree in Business Administration and until her retirement, was a Professor for the Community College System of Chicago.In June, 1950, Jean married Leonard Ignatius Raczkowski of Chicago, who passed away December 10, 2001. Jean is survived by Peggy and Patrick Keen and their sons, Ryan Keen of Robinson, Illinois and Sean Keen of Robinson, Illinois and his fianc, Shara Green of Flat Rock, IL; Elizabeth and David Brannigan, and their children, Maura and Cooper, of Evanston, Illinois; Judith Ann Rack of Chicago and Susan and Andrew Baum, and their children, Jacob and Isabella, of Chicago, Illinois.Jean leaves a legacy of family love, accomplishment and devotion. Services and internment will be in Chicago. Goodwine Funeral Homes in Robinson is assisting with arrangements. Local memorials to honor Jean€™s life may be made to the Crawford County Spay and Neuter Foundation.
