Janice B. Newell

Janice Newell, 66, of Robinson, IL, died at 4:48 p.m. Tuesday, August 5, 2008 at Crawford Memorial Hospital, Robinson after an extended illness. She was born April 3, 1942 in Palestine, the daughter of Fred Harris and Margaret Wagoner Harris. She was a homemaker.She married Carl Newell on June 1, 1963 and he preceded her in death on April 22, 1996. She was also preceded in death by her parents; her son, Carl Newell, Jr; and 2 brothers, Lester and Jack Harris.She is survived by 3 sons and daughters-in-law, Gary and Kathy Newell, Robinson, Gerald Newell, Robinson, James and Nikki Newell, Robinson; her step-son and his wife, Larry and Jewell Newell, Harrison, OH; 2 step-daughters, Shirley Sizemore, Cincinnati, OH and Rose Newell, Tennessee; 2 grandchildren; 6 step grandchildren; her sister, Betty Green, Robinson; her sister-in-law, Pat Harris, Oblong; her brother-in-law, Floyd Newell, Sullivan, Indiana; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 9, 2008 at the Goodwine Funeral Home, Robinson, with Pastor Daniel Szombathy officiating. Burial will follow in the Robinson New Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. on Friday and until the time of service on Saturday.
